Bottisham Airfield Museum hosts some great events. Last May I attended the classic car and motorcycle show and it was very cool to see such well cared for vehicles still on the road.
The atmosphere was brilliant — a mix of polished chrome, the smell of fuel, and the steady hum of conversations between proud owners and curious visitors.
It was amazing to see such a wide range of beautifully maintained vehicles still on the road. From vintage British classics to rare motorcycles, every machine had a story behind it. I even brought along my own TVR Chimaera, which sparked a few great conversations with fellow enthusiasts. There’s something special about seeing people light up when they recognise a car they once owned, admired, or dreamed about.
The museum itself is a gem, run by passionate volunteers who care deeply about preserving local aviation history. Events like this help bring the community together while supporting the ongoing work of the museum.
If you’re interested in future events or want to learn more about the museum’s work, you can visit the Bottisham Airfield Museum website or follow their Facebook page for updates.
